Heal

After-care instructions.

Eyebrow after-care

The eyebrow healing process usually takes 7-15 days but varies from person to person.

First-day care

  • Gently blot excess lymph fluid from your brows with a clean tissue.
  • Lightly clean your brows with a water wipe or distilled water on a clean cotton round, following the instructions provided at your appointment.
  • Apply the recommended ointment in a very thin layer with clean hands or a clean cotton swab, usually 2-3 times per day as instructed.

Daily care

  • Do not splash water directly onto your brows.
  • Continue lightly cleaning and applying a thin layer of ointment as instructed throughout the healing process, usually until peeling is complete.
  • Do not rub, touch, scratch, pick, or remove scabs. This can cause pigment loss, infection, or scarring.
  • In the shower, wash your body and keep your brows away from direct water.

Avoid until the brows are healed

  • Exercise and excessive sweating until peeling is complete
  • Retin-A, AHA, glycolic acid, exfoliants, and anti-aging products on the treated area
  • Direct sunlight and tanning beds for 2 weeks
  • Waxing or laser hair removal around the treated area
  • Hot tubs, saunas, pools, and swimming in the sea until healing is complete
  • Brow makeup during the healing period
  • Facials or other facial treatments until peeling is complete

After healing is complete, protect your brows with sunscreen and moisturizer.

What to expect during healing

Powder brows three days after the procedure, colour still dark

Days 1-3

Brows may look darker, thicker, swollen, or sensitive. This is normal, and the colour will soften.

Powder brows during days four to seven of healing, showing natural flaking

Days 4-7

Brows may begin to scab, flake, and look patchy. Do not panic or pick.

Powder brows during days eight to fourteen, with softened colour

Days 8-14

Peeling may be complete, and the colour may look very faint or light.

Powder brow between days fifteen and thirty-five as colour resurfaces

Days 15-35

Colour gradually resurfaces and softens. Do not judge the final result during early healing.

Fully healed powder brow at six to eight weeks

Weeks 6-8

The brows are generally ready for a healed-result evaluation and possible touch-up.

Healing photos are examples only. Every client heals differently.

Lip blush after-care

  • Apply light pressure with a clean tissue to remove excess lymph fluid.
  • Apply the recommended ointment several times a day and keep your lips moisturized.
  • Avoid kissing, rubbing, and friction on the treated area.
  • Avoid oily, spicy, or heavily seasoned foods. Drink carefully and avoid using a straw if it creates friction or discomfort.
  • After each meal, gently rinse your lips with water, pat dry, and reapply ointment.
  • Do not pick or rub your lips. Allow peeling to happen naturally.

During the first 14 days, avoid

  • Excessive sweating and strenuous sports
  • Smoking
  • Swimming
  • Hot saunas, hot baths, and Jacuzzis
  • Sun exposure, tanning beds, and UV/UVA exposure
  • Laser treatments, chemical treatments, peels, Retin-A, or glycolic acid on the treated area
  • Picking, peeling, or scratching
  • Excessive alcohol, which may slow healing
  • Makeup on the treated area until completely healed

Lip healing timeline

Day 1

Swelling, tenderness, and high colour intensity are normal and should gradually decrease.

Day 2

Swelling may decrease while tenderness and dryness continue. Do not touch your lips; keep applying ointment.

Days 3-7

Lips may peel and colour may lighten by approximately 30-50%. Do not pick or rub.

Week 2

Peeling is usually complete and colour may look light. Lips continue healing for up to 6 weeks.

Weeks 3-6

More colour gradually resurfaces and softens.

Weeks 6-8

Lips are generally healed and ready for evaluation. Most clients need two treatments to complete the lip transformation.

Eyeliner enhancement after-care

  • Do not pick, rub, or peel scabs. This may cause bald spots, scarring, or infection.
  • Use only the recommended after-care product and do not allow the area to become excessively dry or cracked.
  • Keep hair away from your face.
  • Do not apply makeup to the treated area for 7-10 days.
  • Do not use mascara until the outer healing is complete.
  • Sleep on your back when possible and use a clean pillowcase.
  • Avoid swimming, saunas, and hot tubs for 7-10 days.
  • Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water directly on the treated area.
  • Do not wear contact lenses for at least 24 hours after the procedure.
  • Do not dye or perm your lashes or use an eyelash curler for 2 weeks.
  • Temporary puffiness, swelling, dryness, or mild irritation may occur for a few days.
  • Do not use eyelash serums or growth-stimulation products during healing because they may contribute to pigment migration.
